Luxury

Chantecaille is a family-owned French luxury cosmetic brand that prides itself on pure ingredients derived from flowers and plants. I’ve used their products for more than seven years and can attest to the divine power of their revolutionary formulas. When the cold weather hits I stock up on Rose de Mai Face Oil and Rose de Mai Body Oil as well as their Lip Potion.

Moderate

Ahava is an Israeli skincare company that also sources its ingredients from natural elements, notably the Dead Sea region. I use their Mineral Body Lotion and Mineral Hand Cream.

For moderately priced lip care, Avène makes a stick that leaves lips feeling super buttery. I discovered their Cold Cream Nourishing Lip Balm while in Paris during the first week of January a few years back. All the ladies were carrying it in their purses and clued me in on their winter secret to no chapped lips.

Budget

My first Manhattan apartment was in the Mario Badescu building on East 52nd Street. I’d never heard of the brand before moving in, but quickly starting using their gentle and effective flower-based products and was immediately hooked.
