Perhaps no other beverage on this planet warms my heart more in the wintertime than my traditional New England hot cocoa. With just four ingredients, this creamy concoction is the simplest, sweetest delight.

Ingredients:

• 1 pint heavy cream
• 2 heaping teaspoons, organic cane sugar
• 2 heaping teaspoons, unsweetened organic cocoa powder 
• 3 cups whole milk 
• 1 bag of mini and/or large marshmallows

Instructions:

• In a chilled large bowl beat heavy cream on medium until thick, approximately ten minutes.
• Set aside or place in refrigerator if not using immediately.
• Warm milk in sauce pot on medium heat for approximately ten minutes. Stir constantly to prevent burn.
• Place one heaping teaspoon of sugar and one heaping teaspoon of cocoa in each mug.
• Add a tablespoon of warm milk to each mug and stir to combine ingredients.
• Add remaining milk to fill mugs, stir again.
• Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
