What You’ll Need
I developed these baguette bites while playing around in my kitchen tasting flavors for possible holiday appetizers. I spent two hours combining different ingredients and using the Sergeant as a taste tester. In the end, the five combos below were his favorite. There really are no exact measurements, as portions will be determined based on how many people you are serving. As long as you have the key ingredients for each one they’ll come together beautifully. Have fun with it!
Sautéed Mushroom Mozzarella Bites
Sauté chopped garlic in olive oil until fragrant, add sliced mushrooms and toss until fully cooked and tender. Remove from heat and add chopped parsley. Place mushroom mixture atop baguette slices, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and place in 350º oven until cheese melts, approximately 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
Sundried Tomato & Pesto Bites
Spread pesto on baguette slices, place one sundried tomato on top of pesto, sprinkle with parmesan. Place in 350º oven until cheese melts, approximately 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
Drizzle olive oil on baguette slices. Cover bread with tomato and ciligiene halves. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with chopped basil.
Tapenade Manchego Bites
Spread tapenade on baguette slice. Settle a chunk of Manchego on top.
Roasted Artichoke Bites
Cover baguette slice with herb and cheese spread. Place halved artichoke heart on top. Sprinkle with shaved almonds.
